So Much Has Gone On Recently…

…that I’ve hardly had the time to be excited about the thought that I released the first two books in a series of books for children this year!

The first book came out during the summer and the second in October. This series has bounced in my head for a long time and a talk with a New York Times bestselling author led me to finally get it written down…the first step he said to getting published. And he was right!

I have been happy to work with an artist, Cathy Hoang, located right here in Kissimmee and a layout company in Sarasota.

So many historical venues and organizations around central Orlando have been giving me the opportunity to bring book presentations to them which has been very fun! If you are in a book club and would like to have an author talk I would love to come! I have also done book read-alouds and fun interactive activities for kids presentations too. I am looking for homeschool groups that might be interested.

The goal of the entire series is to teach folk art and homesteading skills in a story revolving around respectful, intergenerational, family relationship. In book one you find Caroline and grandma in the attic with an old trunk which leads to Caroline learning how to write calligraphy. The book offers you opportunity to write with Caroline on black line masters right in the book!

In book two Zeke and grandpa are in the garden learning about companion planting and how to harvest. Grandpa shares about song and staying on task as well as care for tools. Sing along with Zeke!
