Happy Fall-ish!
Fall is just around the corner! Holy smokes!
Do you love this season as much as I do?
If you know a good place to by corn stalks let me know.
I love decorating with them and find them hard to come by.
It has been a while since I did an FAQ newsletter. Here are some questions others have asked recently. Maybe you have the same ones.
1. Q: Is it good for me to get a lymph drainage treatment on vacation?
A: If you currently have an MLD treatment plan in place by all means get a lymph treatment when you are on vacation. If you do not have a plan and need some lymph, start it when you get back home and go get a massage that has as its focus overall health and relaxation. With MLD in particular it is important to get enough of the bodywork in order for a change to be made in your condition.
2. Q: If I miss a session that I have prepaid for in a package is there a way that I can still use that session?
A: Yes. By paying the $25 missed appointment fee you can use your prepaid session.
3. Q: Are you scheduling for 2026 yet?
A: Yes. If you like to come on a specific day or at a specific time now is the time to fit yourself into the 2026 schedule.
4. Q: Does lymphatic drainage hurt?
A: No. It should never hurt. It should be soothing. If you get MLD and it hurts the person is not doing it correctly.
5. Q: Is bodywork OK for me to get if I have active cancer?
A: It depends. If you are talking about MLD, it is best to wait. I suggest you get through your chemo and/or radiation and then start MLD afterwards with doc sign-off. If you are talking about regular massage, it is best to have a conversation with you doc and see what he says. If you are talking about craniosacral therapy, generally speaking, yes. But again a quick check in with your doc would be best prior to the start of a treatment.
6. Q: Can I bring my own oil or lotion to use during the treatment?
A: Yes. I ask that it be scent-free and not contain perfumes or CBD. I have several clients that do this and love it. We like what we like…I can appreciate that.
Most Sincerely,
Monica
