2017 January

Happy New Year!

Do you choose a “Word of the Year?”  I do.  Some of you may remember my word for 2016 was preserve.  It is always a growing experience to see that word come up as the year progresses.  I remember when I decided on that word thinking to myself..”like jelly?”  I didn’t know what it would have in store for me.  But as I traveled west I found a very profound application in the need to preserve the beauty in our country.

So what is my word for this year you ask?
Well, visit my Facebook page and I will tell ya! 😉
While you are there, leave your word for 2017.
I would love to hear about it.

And, special brownie points for you
if you know where the wintery picture above was shot!!
Post your guess to our Facebook page

The Lymphatic System and Body Toxicity

The Endocrine Society reports:
“We present the evidence that endocrine disruptors have effects on male and female reproduction, breast development and cancer, prostrate cancer, neuroendocrinology, thyroid, metabolism and obesity, and cardiovascular endocrinology.”

Medical experts are now wondering whether exposure to years of these toxic chemicals is part of the reason so many older men are low on testosterone and experiencing erectile dysfunction.  Where are we exposed to these chemicals? Deodorants!

ALUMINUM ZIECONIUM TETRACHLOROHYDREX GLY effects the kidney or renal system at very low doses.  Aluminum was first recognized as a human neurotoxin in 1886, before being used as an antiperspirant. A neurotoxin is a substance that causes damage to nerves or nerve tissue.
COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE is a very toxic ingredient which has been linked to cancer in animal tests.

PPG-14 Butyl Ether (popypropylene glycol) is in the paraben family and are toluene derivatives (toxic petrochemical compounds).  Toluene has proven to have a harmful affect on the reproductive system while parabens have been linked to cancer.

BHT accumulates over time in the body, having a toxic impact on the lungs, liver and kidneys amongst other negative effects. A 1984 study showed that BHT was capable of promoting chemically-induced forestomach and bladder cancer in male rats.  This info is not new but it seems that we know little of it.  A 1988 Swedish study  shows BHT toxic and tumour promoting.

SO WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE?  You know what I have been doing now for some time?  Using baking soda.  Plain and simple.  I keep a small container of it on the sink in the bathroom and brush a tiny amount underarm each morning.  I have found it to work better than any organic deodorant that I have tried.

AND WHAT IF I HAVE BEEN USING THESE CHEMICALS?  HOW DO I HELP THEM MOVE OUT OF THE MY BODY?  With lymphatic drainage.  Plain and simple.  Your body may need the ‘encouragement’ of lymphatic drainage for a while until it can come out from under, until it can start pumping again on its own, and until the lymph is at a viscous flow rate again.  Honestly, one time is not enough to undo years of chemical absorption.  Those willing to do what it takes will find the results they are looking for.
