RESEARCH: Carpal Tunnel Takes a Leave of Absence

A four week study at the Touch Research Institute at the University of Miami School of Medicine tested massage’s effects on carpal tunnel* sufferers who held jobs requiring many hours at the computer.
They found that massage improved functional activity, reduced pain, and increased grip strength. Observations were visible and results were felt immediately.
*Carpal Tunnel symptoms: pain, tingling, burning and numbness of the hand.

OIL ESSENTIALS: Thieves

Four “Thieves” in France protected themselves from the Black Plague with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing victims of the killer disease. When captured, they were offered a lighter sentence in exchange for their secret recipe.
Thieves Essential Oil Blend includes clove, cinnamon bar, rosemary, lemon, and Eucalyptus radiata offers the same kind of defense. It’s has been university tested and found to be highly effective against airborne bacteria. Six US hospitals, including John Hopkins, diffuse Thieves in the air to help fight bacteria and viruses.
The same power and protection of Thieves Essential Oil Blend can be found in a Young Living line of household products too – toothpaste, mouthwash, cleaning products, throat lozenges, dental floss. Thieves products provide SAFE, natural alternatives for use in the home.
Don’t be without Thieves this flu season!! Haven’t tried these great green products? You should. YOU DESERVE THE BEST! Find loads of uses and pictures of my ‘totally’ burned pan!!

MODALITY MINUTE: What exactly does STRESS Do?

Uncertain economy. War. Weather. Swine flu. There’s enough around these days to stress anyone out!
God designed us to function with emotions impacting us physically. The connection of the two occurs because of the Hypothalamus. Stress burns up minerals and creates an acidic environment. To neutralize acids your body needs raw materials. When iron, manganese and selenium are deficient, the brain ceases sending other hormone messengers. This affects whole body health.
Stress signals include: headache, restlessness, agitation, insomnia, irritability, neck pain, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and chest tightness.
The adrenal glands are very sensitive to emotions and physical aspects of life. When exhausted and unable support your physical and emotional needs your adreanals kick in. What wears them out? SUGAR! Those who cope best with stress are in better shape physically and emotionally. They eat whole foods, avoid sugar and sugar substitutes, and exercise regularly.
Control adverse effects of stress by minimizing sugar (an acid forming food), exercising, eating alkaline food, drinking water, speaking positively, breathing deeply, and praying.

GENTLE REMINDERS: CDC Tips for Staying Healthy

1. Cover nose and mouth completely when coughing or sneezing.
2. Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
3. Wash hands frequently for at least 20 seconds each time.
4. Disinfect with essential oil sanitizers. They kill germs without mutating them and creating superbugs and strengthen your immunity.
5. Flu-like symptoms? Stay home and call your doc. Documentation is important.
6. Learn how homeopathy and aromatherapy can stimulate your immunity keeping you healthy.
